BEST VALENTINES DAY EVER! (this is long)

So, last week was Valentine's Day(as most of us were aware of). Ian and I hadn't really made any special plans and couldn't really make plans because:
1-I had to go to school that night
2-Ian had to work, and we weren't quite sure when he'd get off(besides that,Ian isn't too big of a fan of Valentine's Day)
The day started off with me suprising him with some homemade oreos. The rest of the day felt like any ordinary day. I went to work, then went to my Macroeconomics class. My teacher decided to only keep us for an hour, instead of three, so I called Ian. He told me he'd be lucky to be home by 10. A little disappointed, for no good reason(I believe a lot of women get their hopes up, with high expectations, and then find themselves disappointed very easily on Valentines day) I went to Target, Old Navy, and Barnes & Noble in hopes to waste some time doing something somewhat interesting, instead of sitting home on my couch alone. Well, after staying out until all stores had practically closed, I went home, put the card I had made(with my Cricut-which I love! Thanks Mom!) for Ian on our bed, along with an 82 piece screwdriver set I had bought for him (SIDE NOTE: I know this is kind of a random V-day present, but a guy at my work had convinced me that not only would any guy love to recieve this as a gift, but that it was a great deal-which it was).

I sat for awhile, watched the news, and went to bed. Ian ended up working until 11 or so that night, and didn't get home until I don't know when. Before he got home, I had talked to Ian on the phone. He told me that he was feeling sick, and that he felt really bad because he hadn't gotten me anything, but that he'd do something another day. That made me a little more disappointed then I already was....cause I was being one of those people I was talking about before (on accident)
So, you are probably wondering how this could possibly be the BEST VALENTINES DAY EVER! Well, Friday I came home to find some roses on our table, along with a bag of Cadbury eggs.Yum! (By the way, Ian was SO SO sick that day, and could hardly get out of bed, but went to the store and bought these things) He also had made me my favorite cake. It was very thoughtful, and I felt bad because I knew he was NOT feeling well. He also told me that he had another surprise but it would have to wait until he felt better.
I LOVE and HATE surprises, and because I can't hold them in, I expect everyone else to tell me the surprises they have planned...its retarded, but sometimes I just HAVE to know! He wouldn't tell me much, except that it wasn't food related (which was a HUGE relief-if you are aware of my eating habits, you will completely understand!)
Anyway, the surprise was made known to me Sunday, when I came home from my parent's house to find Ian, laying in bed(cause he was and still is sick) with SHORT HAIR!!! He FINALLY decided to get a haircut, and looks SO SO good! To most people, that probably doesn't sound like a great surprise, but to me....it was the BEST VALENTINES EVER! I will post some pictures once I get them!

Oh, and P.S. Julie, thanks for the toaster :)

Miss Kristin! I loved your post. Haha. I was laughing the whole time. I miss our long chats, so this definately makes up for it (almost). I can't believe Ian cut his hair. That is definately the best Valentine's Day present. Tell him good job and I want to see a picture.

Wonderful news! I bet you'd forgotten what he looks like without his locks! hehe... We're both very excited and can't wait to see pics! Is Ian feeling better now?

Woah! Ian with short hair? I just can't seem to see it. Make him some chicken noodle soup and lots of juice. And you have some to ward off getting sick too. But if you do, then he'll take care of you cuz that's what husbands are for :P

You didn't mention that he cut his hair... cool. Can't wait to see it! Hope to see you soon! Sydney wants to be held. :) Oh- and I agree that women DEFINITELY get their hopes up about stuff... I am guilty of this ALL OF THE TIME! (Poor Gavin...)
